📆 On May 10th, during the pre-event of the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Rufo, MFI and the Kenya Meteorological Service Authority (KMSA) signed a Statement of Intent to pursue the preparation of an ambitious modernization programme for Kenya’s meteorological ecosystem.

📑 Signed by our President Jean-Sebastien Cases and Edward Muriuki, Director of 𝗞𝗠𝗦𝗔, this agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthen Kenya’s weather and climate service capabilities in support of disaster risk reduction, public safety and the resilience of key economic sectors such as agriculture.

🪢MFI and KMSA have been working together for several years to design a comprehensive and impactful programme that will deliver long-term benefits to the country through improved observation & forecasting capacities, climate services and early warning systems.
