Providing sophisticated technical solutions that would be of no use for end-users makes no sense to us\u2026 So we pay a great deal of attention to what comes out of the technical ecosystems we implement and how it can help National Weather Services provide better services to their populations and main economic sectors.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcc5 Our mission last week in Abidjan, in collaboration with SODEXAM C\u00f4te d'Ivoire<\/strong>, is in perfect line with this approach! Indeed, its objective was to work on two different targets the VIGICLIMM Project wishes to address.<\/p>\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 First, we organized a workshop with representatives of ADERIZ<\/strong> (National Agency for the Development of the Rice Sector) and 8 volunteer rice farmers. The objective was to present them the first version of a mobile application MFI is currently developing to provide \ud83c\udf3e \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01 \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb-\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\ude00\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude02\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01 \ud835\ude04\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf9 \ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddfd \ud835\udddc\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude07\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf1\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb thanks to tailored agro-weather indicators. A serious asset for national food security! The participants confirmed the needs for such an app, and committed to test it in 2025 during the rice-growing season in order to refine its functionalities and make it as useful as possible, and reach more users in 2026!
\n2\ufe0f\u20e3 The second target addressed during the mission was general public with several meetings organized to specify the ways and means of implementing \ud83d\udce3 \ud835\uddee \ud835\uddfa\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6-\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude07\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 \ud835\ude04\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4 \ud835\ude00\ud835\ude06\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfa \ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01 \ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf9 \ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf9 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddef\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf3 \ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf1\ud835\ude00. These meetings were carried out with our partner PREDICT Services<\/strong>, specialized in risk prevention and management, and representatives from SODEXAM and ONPC<\/strong>\u00a0(Ivorian National Agency for Civil Protection). The objective was to clarify the role and expectations of each stakeholder, identify communication channels and the necessary organizational changes to be made in parallel with the implementation of the early warning system.<\/p>\n
