[📣 NEW WEATHER RADAR IN CÔTE D’IVOIRE – VIGICLIMM PROJECT]
🎆 Great news for the people of Côte d’Ivoire: the Meteorological Department of SODEXAM is now the proud owner of a high-end C-band weather radar based on innovative solid-state technology — a first on the African continent for National Meteorological Service!
💪🏽 This state-of-the-art equipment, provided by our partner METEOPRESS will significantly enhance rainfall monitoring and forecasting capabilities, enabling the issuance of more timely and reliable alerts to better protect people and property.
👌🏼 The radar installation was completed flawlessly and in record time. Imagine: less than two days between the installation of this technological marvel and the reception of the first radar images on the screens of SODEXAM’s operators!
🙏🏼 This success was made possible thanks to the strong commitment of all teams involved — MFI, SODEXAM, LIFILED and METEOPRESS — as well as the valuable guidance of Mr. Tarek Soubai, radar expert appointed by WMO to facilitate the operations and ensure their full compliance.
🛤️ We can all be proud of this major milestone of the VIGICLIMM Project, enabling Côte d’Ivoire to take a decisive step forward in strengthening its resilience to the impacts of climate change.
