\ud83d\udcc5 On December 3rd, the \ud835\udde6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4 \ud835\udde8\ud835\uddfd \ud835\udde6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4 (\ud835\udde6\ud835\udde8\ud835\udde6) \ud835\udde3\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf7\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01 we have been carrying out for the past 4 years for the national weather agency of Indonesia (BMKG) has officially come to an end. What a ride it's been with one of our most faithful customers with whom we've been collaborating for the past 20 years \ud83c\udfa2!<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udee3\ufe0f In 2012, BMKG selected MFI to undertake the 1st phase of their global strengthening project. It was successfully achieved over 3 years. In 2020, they renewed their confidence by entrusting us with the 2nd phase of this project. Its overall objective was to build on the deliverables of phase 1 to extend BMKG\u2019s service capability, and to bring \ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude04 \ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfd\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb \ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf4\ud835\ude06. A real challenge in itself\u2026 not speaking about launching the project in the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic \ud83d\ude31!<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffb Today, we're proud to say that we made it! Thanks to the SUS Project, Indonesia has become one of the most advanced countries in the field of \ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf9 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4 \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01-\ud835\uddef\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\ude04\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4. We delivered a complete forecasting & production chain at national and provincial levels. Quite a technical and organizational challenge given the configuration of the Indonesian territory stretched out across 3 time zones and composed of 34 provinces, each one expected to contribute to the national digital forecast and warning process!<\/p>\n

\u26c5 The full man-machine mix is now operational with \ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \ud835\udfee\ud835\udfec\ud835\udfec \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00 across Indonesia collaborating daily to provide high-quality services to the population. MFI\u2019s solution includes \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddfc\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfa\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01-\ud835\uddef\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude00\ud835\ude01 \ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\ude00 which constitute a huge technological leap in terms of warning and protecting people and goods. By combining spatialized vulnerability data and met parameters, BMKG is now able to predict severe weather events and to assess their impact on infrastructures, people, their livelihoods,... This is a major asset for public authorities to be able to \ud835\ude01\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfe\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 \ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf0\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude00 and thereby provide better protection. In this regard, the SUS Project appears to be one of the first large-scale projects in the world to be compatible with the spirit of such a noble cause as the \ud835\udde8\ud835\udde1 \ud835\uddd8\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf9\ud835\ude06 \ud835\uddea\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4\ud835\ude00 \ud835\uddd9\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddd4\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf9 \ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude03\ud835\uddf2.<\/p>\n
